As an IT Technical/Project Manager with twelve years of hands-on experience and now the President of SilverPoint Systems, Mike Garcia has the ability to effectively identify problems and provide IT solutions in a number of areas based on your unique needs. A Microsoft Certified Professional and a CompTIA A+ certified technician, Mike specializes in virtualization, data centre layout, network design, technical services and employee management. His extensive work in network engineering and systems administration has allowed Mike to obtain a high degree of applicable knowledge. He now brings that expertise to SilverPoint, allowing him to oversee the company's operations to ensure greater profitability, growth, efficiency and quality of service for both our organization and yours.
Director of Operations
Rob Gjertsen has a wide variety of experience within the technology industry, specializing in workstation, server and infrastructure administration and management. As a former Internet Service Provider Systems Administrator, Rob brings an added flavour of 12 years of Linux and cPanel based webhosting server experience, and 14 years of industry experience, to our team at SilverPoint. As the Director of Support Services at SilverPoint Systems, Rob is responsible for overseeing all support related services and spearheading our support Team. Rob studied Computer Science at the University of Northern British Columbia, is a Comptia A+ Certified Professional IT Technician, and is committed to continuing his education in new technologies. Rob firmly believes in proper systems administrator and computer technician practices and ethics, is a member of the Computer Technology Industry Association, the Comptia IT Professional Community.
In his role as Service Manager, Pearce ensures customer service and customer satisfaction stay at the forefront while delivering excellent technical support and guidance to SilverPoint’s clients. Pearce draws on 25 years in the IT industry with experience ranging from data center and infrastructure projects through systems administration, training, and technical support. Pearce is familiar with critical systems and urgent requests from years working with law enforcement and medical systems administration. Having technical training including Microsoft, SonicWall, Oracle, and Novell, and an Associate degree in Computer Information Systems from Kwantlen College, Pearce also has experience with team building, communication skills, and conflict resolution. This helps him to put technology in perspective as a business tool and to focus on delivering service that lets your business run the best it can.
Cameron Boyes has 11 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked in IT in locations varying from downtown office buildings to food processing factories. Cameron has a hardware and software support background for desktops, laptops, printers and servers, and strongly believes in the importance of good customer service. As a Certified IT professional, Cameron will bring the knowledge and skills he has learned to support SilverPoint's clients. Cameron holds a Bachelor's of Technology in Information Technology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, as well as A+ and Server+ certifications from CompTIA.
With over fifteen years’ experience in the IT industry, Patrick Dennis has dealt with almost every scenario out there. Upon receiving his first computer at the age of 10, Patrick began coding his own games. His love for technology continued through his adolescence, leading him to his first professional IT position as a Web Developer. As his career has progressed Patrick gained experience as a Systems Administrator, Database Designer, and IT Manager. Patrick has a passion for explaining the benefits of technology and has brought those talents to SilverPoint Systems as an Account Manager
Graeme has worked in the IT field for over 10 years and as a hobby for 6 years before that. He has developed a specialization in Server and Infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting; having made a name for himself fixing issues others had struggled with or been unable to resolve. Graeme has worked both for MSP's as well as internal IT resources, building experience and gaining a strong sense of priorities that are critical to a business; especially in times of need. Known to be one to "Stay until the job is done" whenever possible, long hours to get a client back online is all in a days, or weekends, work for him. Still heavily invested in technology as a hobby and lifestyle, you can count on him to understand how to implement technology and make it work for you.
No stranger to command line, David’s strengths lie in Automation, Networking, and Virtualization. This skill set can bring reliability and scalability to any network system. David has worked for both through MSP’s and directly for companies. David is able to listen to business problems and find IT solutions.
Francis Bautista graduated from SFU with a Bachelors of Science in IT, majoring in Computer Hardware and Communication Systems. Additionally, Francis also carries various IT certifications including Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, CompTIA A+, and CompTIA Network+. He brings his experience and knowledge from his previous occupations as Tier1/Tier2 Helpdesk Support and Senior Field Technician. Francis understands the significance of IT issues and its effects on a company’s bottom line. Francis is committed in providing great customer service and technical support for SilverPoint’s client base.
Stephanie MacIntosh joined SilverPoint Systems in August of 2013. She comes from a background of both Finance & Administration at various local companies throughout the past 10 years.
